Week 1 - Week 15
EXERCISE
In the first week, we each divided the work and wrote the
CONTEXTUAL RESEARCH part.
We then created a user journey map. After the interviews, we needed three targets, so we sought out Mariam (an aspiring educator), Hassan (a retired tutor), and Jamal (aspiring informal educator).
Then, to boost the motivation and confidence of refugee teachers,
we proposed creating a recognition wall and badge system to
highlight their skills and achievements.

interview question:
We created some interview questions about night school to better
understand the needs and pain points of refugee teachers and help them
solve problems.

After collectively reflecting on the question, "What can we do?",
several ideas emerged. The first was to create a training support
toolkit, which would include joining a peer group on WhatsApp or
Telegram for emotional support and encouragement. The toolkit would
also include printable teaching aids such as lesson plans,
behavioral cheat sheets, flashcards, a monthly planner (with a
simple planning structure), and an emotional assessment to foster
empathy in the classroom and support effective communication.
To address issues related to emotions and work-related stress, we
created a mindfulness co-teaching system, developed a “Mindful
Moments” diary for self-reflection, and a flashcard toolkit to help
teachers cope with challenging teaching jobs.

After our first presentation, the teacher gave us feedback.
The project leader expressed their hope that we could create a
solution that would allow users to easily find all the
information in one place. Currently, content and information
are too fragmented, and users often don't know where to find
what they need.
Therefore, we decided to develop an app to help users easily
find all the information in one place. We also created an
Instagram post to promote and share our app with a wider
audience. Below are examples of the app and Instagram
page.
