EXERCISE

 1. Stop Motion Video

 week 1

Three Favorite Stop-Motion Video

Stop Motion Video 1: https://youtu.be/E55kSn0R4bo?si=zcoozDZPQk-impvs

Part of the reason I really like this stop-motion animation is because it's stop-motion animation made out of wool felt, because I love furry things, and in the stop-motion animation in the video, all the items are made out of wool felt, plus it's a very therapeutic cooking process.

This is the second stop-motion animation that I like, the objects in this stop-motion animation are made of clay and the storyline warns us not to use mobile phones when crossing the road.

Because smooth movement is the hallmark of good stop-motion animation, the rhythmic sense of movement should match the story atmosphere. The movement changes in each frame should be natural and in accordance with the laws of physics.

2. stop-motion
Before the shooting, we assigned our respective tasks and prepared the materials before the shooting.

I am responsible for the clay photography, especially the clay animals.

Our clay group used a camera to shoot, and the paper-cutting group used a mobile phone to shoot. Finally, Steph imported the image into Google Drive and shared the file with our team members.

week 10 Final Project Proposal

First, I followed the storyboard I drew and molded the objects one by one.

REFLECTION

Observation
I recorded a step-by-step creative process of completing a stop-motion animation, including task allocation, material preparation, shooting techniques, and post-editing. I prefer clay, so in the next stop-motion animation production, I chose clay photography. When the team worked together to freeze the East Lake, it demonstrated the importance of teamwork and cross-tool collaboration. I also learned the planning and execution of storyboards and production processes.

Finding
When working together and dividing the work, we allocated it well, and also used different tools (such as cameras and mobile phones) to complete different shooting tasks to improve efficiency. I also found that stop-motion animation requires patience and creativity, combined with tools such as Adobe Premiere Pro for post-processing, to make the work more complete and expressive.

Experience
Clear task allocation and efficient communication can ensure the smooth completion of complex projects. Detailed storyboard design and solid material preparation lay the foundation for the final presentation. Optimizing the picture and rhythm through technical tools while retaining the hand-made artistic sense makes the work more attractive.
